What is The CORE Method?

The CORE Method is a specialized, whole-child approach to pediatric therapy that focuses on supporting the foundational skills essential for development and everyday function.

By combining occupational therapy, speech therapy, comprehensive evaluations, and specialized therapeutic techniques, our team develops individualized treatment plans tailored to each child's unique needs.

Our approach focuses on four key areas: Coordination, Optimization, Regulation, and Executive Function, helping us look beyond individual challenges and address the child as a whole.

The Four Pillars of CORE

C

Coordination

Gross Motor • Fine Motor • Ocular Motor

O

Optimization

Low-Level Laser Therapy • Vagus Nerve

R

Regulation

Sensory Integration • Reflex Integration

E

Executive Function

Executive Functioning • Visual Perceptual Skills

Our CORE Intensive Programs & Services

Our CORE Intensive Programs provide individualized, focused therapeutic experiences designed to address each child's unique developmental needs through comprehensive evaluations and specialized interventions.

CORE Comprehensive Evaluation

2-Hour Evaluation

An in-depth evaluation designed to better understand your child's developmental strengths, challenges, and individual needs. Findings help guide personalized recommendations and treatment planning.

Traditional Intensive

One Week

Five consecutive days of focused, individualized therapy, with two-hour sessions each day.

10 Therapy Hours

Extended Intensive

Six Weeks

Five two-hour Friday sessions across six weeks, with the sixth Friday reserved for make-up sessions.

10 Therapy Hours

Both intensive programs include a CORE Comprehensive Evaluation. A CORE Comprehensive Evaluation is also required before incorporating low-level laser therapy into regular weekly OT or speech therapy sessions.

Specialized Therapeutic Approaches

The CORE Method incorporates specialized therapeutic techniques selected to complement each child's individualized treatment plan.

Low-Level Laser Therapy

Also known as photobiomodulation, low-level laser therapy is a noninvasive technique that uses specific wavelengths of light. This approach may be incorporated into individualized treatment plans when clinically appropriate.

Primitive Reflex Integration

Primitive reflexes are automatic movement patterns that emerge early in development. Our therapists assess these patterns and their potential relationship to motor coordination, sensory processing, and functional skills. Individualized movement-based activities may be incorporated based on each child's evaluation findings.
