The Leland Wayne DuBose Memorial Scholarship Fund was created to honor the life and legacy of Leland “The Legend” DuBose—a man known for his deep love of family, his adventurous spirit, and his unwavering generosity.

Leland’s greatest joy in life was his family, especially his ten grandchildren, who will carry forward his spirit of curiosity, kindness, and strength. He had a natural gift for bringing people together, helping others, and making a lasting impact on everyone he met.

Leland also played a meaningful role in the foundation of Helping Hands Pediatric Therapy, helping bring to life a place dedicated to serving children and families. His belief in the mission of Helping Hands and his desire to help others continues to shape the heart of what we do every day.

​

In his honor, this scholarship fund has been established to support children with cerebral palsy and other pediatric disabilities—continuing his legacy of care and compassion through the very place he helped build.

Our Mission

This fund exists to provide financial support for children and families who may not otherwise have access to the therapy services they need. Through this scholarship, we hope to open doors for children to grow, thrive, and reach their fullest potential—just as Leland would have wanted.
